The United States and China have signed an agreement in Beijing to increase their efforts to combat greenhouse gas emissions.
The agreement commits both countries to support one another’s efforts to decrease emissions, but both countries have met short of their goal of helping the other meet its goal.
Time will tell if the agreement will have any impact on the falling stock market, but the market did hit a record high the day the agreement was signed.
This is a change from their previous policy of calling trade relations a zero sum game.
